Terms and Conditions

Warranty

Every Print Board is individually manufactured and carefully inspected before delivery. Because our boards are handmade, minor cosmetic variations may occur. These do not affect the performance or structural integrity of the board.

Print Boards provides the original purchaser with a 12-month limited commercial warranty against manufacturing defects, starting from the date of delivery. This commercial warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, the consumer’s statutory rights under applicable law.

What is covered?

The commercial warranty covers defects caused by materials or workmanship, including:

  • Structural defects resulting from the manufacturing process

  • Delamination caused by a manufacturing defect

  • Defects in installed components, such as foil boxes or fin boxes, when caused by incorrect installation or manufacturing

Depending on the nature of the defect, Print Boards may repair the board, replace the board or component, or offer another appropriate solution.

What is not covered?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Impacts, collisions or contact with the seabed, rocks or other objects

  • Hard landings, crashes or excessive jumping

  • Waves, shorebreak, transport or storage accidents

  • Incorrect use, neglect or insufficient maintenance

  • Repairs or modifications performed by third parties without prior approval from Print Boards

  • Exposure to excessive heat

  • Water entering the board through damage that was not repaired promptly

  • Continued use after damage has become visible

Surfboards, kiteboards and wingfoil boards are exposed to high forces during use. Damage caused by an impact or overload is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Heat and Storage

Do not leave your board in direct sunlight for extended periods or inside a closed vehicle. Temperatures inside a vehicle can become high enough to soften the epoxy resin and damage the board.

Store the board in the shade, preferably inside a reflective board bag, and allow it to cool before use if it has become hot. Do not place heavy objects on the board while it is warm.

Always use the vent plug according to the instructions supplied with your board.

Making a Warranty Claim

Please contact Print Boards before returning or repairing the board.

Include:

  • Your name and order information

  • The board model and purchase date

  • A clear description of the problem

  • Photographs of the entire board and close-up photographs of the damaged area

  • Information about when and how the damage occurred

Do not arrange a repair before receiving approval from Print Boards. We will assess the information and explain the next steps. When necessary, the board may need to be returned for inspection.

A warranty decision can only be made after the cause of the damage has been assessed.

Repairs

Print Boards are designed to be repairable. In many cases, local damage can be repaired in the same way as damage to another epoxy-composite surfboard.

Only epoxy resin may be used. Never use polyester resin, as it may damage the board and is not compatible with the construction.

Before arranging a professional repair, make sure the repairer:

  • Has experience repairing epoxy-composite boards

  • Uses epoxy resin

  • Completely dries the damaged area before closing it

  • Contacts Print Boards when the internal printed structure has been damaged

We can provide repair advice, replacement printed sections where technically possible, or arrange a professional repair. Repair costs depend on the type and extent of the damage.
